The connection between artist, object and user is important. Beautiful objects bind us together. Objects made and touched over time by one human, especially objects given as gifts, sometimes passed down from one generation to another, connect us to family and community and culture.
Owners Daniel Vito and Donna Hetrick thank you for visiting our website. We hope you enjoy using our pottery as much as we enjoy making it. We have been making pottery since 1972, and loving every minute. We’ve offered pottery classes since 1985 and currently have about 90 students in six classes. It’s a wonderful life.
The Asian influence on our work is undeniable. That’s where the first high-fire kilns were made, which enabled the use of stoneware, porcelain, and the classic catalog of high-fire reduction glazes which first drew us to pottery. We have happily incorporated those influences to create our own style of Fireborn pottery.
